If it is part of a group, you should not have any trouble sending it in for the bulk. The $75, in my experience, is a ballpark number. If the guideline is not abused, PSA does not seem to have any trouble with the submission. Just don't try to include a regular issue high grade 1968 Mantle.

I asked the same question when I joined.

I have learned to use the SMR price 7 or 8 for the declared value. Especially older cards which are hard to come by for 10s.

I also halve the price between a 7/8 or 8/9. e.g. If a card has a SMR value at 9 for $100 and at 8 $30, I will put the declared value at $65 or $70. They also state that you can use other sources to value your cards, like past ebay sales at different grade levels.

As stated above, don't try to sneak vintage Mantles and Mays through, it is easy to stay below the $75 declared value.
