It's Weird Looking At.......

.....my game worn jersey's and realizing that I used to pay tons of money just to get an inch of it on cards. To all you card collector's---Have you ever realized how many pieces you can get from ONE jersey? I cut out a 1x1 inch piece of cardboard and placed it up to a Brian Jordan game worn Braves jersey and this is approximately how many cards you can make with just certain parts of the jersey (btw-This took me quite awhile to do):
The Number "33": 96 Cards
The Nameplate: 60 Cards
The Logo: 98 Cards
The Piping Going Down The Jersey: 71 Cards
All Jersey Below The Jersey Number: 418 Cards
All Jersey Below The Braves Logo: 513 Cards
Both Sleeves: 616 Cards
The Rest Of The Jersey: 343 Cards
The Tag: 19 Cards
The Piping Around The Sleeves: 72 Cards
TOTAL: 2,305 CARDS!!! JUST FROM 1 JERSEY! And a lot of collector's pay tons of money just for a tiny piece of it, especially if the card company printed a pretty little 1/1 on the back. But to me, I think if they were going to cut up a jersey they should serial number the card to 2,305, or however many pieces they cut the jersey up into.

<< <i>When you consider it, buying the entire game worn jersey really is the way to go. I have enjoyed buying minor league jerseys from the local teams and it eventually carried over to buy a MLB gamer. >>
EXACTLY! For the Brian Jordan jersey pictured above, I paid only $99! All you have to do is learn about the different types of tagging each team has each year, and know the right dealers to buy from and then you can get them for cheap!

Wow. Let's just say that I gave a little more than $99 for mine.

Well I look around a lot trying to find reputable dealers. A lot of searching = a lot of money saving! There's this guy on eBay that I love to buy from, he's one of the most truthful and reputable jersey sellers. If he has a game-issued jersey then he makes note of it, unlike other people that try to sell them as game-worn, and he prices them really really low. You just have to do some searching
