I'd been collecting both the proofs and the MS plats from the outset, though I sold my run of MS 69s last year to fund another purchase.
The proofs are best looking coins the Mint has produced in decades, IMO. They've been very pricey, though, and a numismatic backwater until the recent frenzy over the 2006-Ws here. You didn't see many posts, beyond an occasion reference to and picture of a proof reverse.
