Best way to ship 50-500 cards?

What the best way to ship this many cards?

I've got a growing pile I want to sell in various lots but the packaging (and the time to list them, LOL) is preventing me from doing this.

  • I don't have the link to the posting, but I saved what someone once posted on this forum about shipping a large quantity of cards. Those links are no longer valid, but I did a quick search on the USPS site, and saw this:
    priority mail box flat rate

Here's the write up on it:
Introducing a quick, easy, and convenient way for you to ship Priority Mail packages. The Postal Service has simplified the Priority Mail shipping process by introducing two new Flat Rate Box options - items that feature a predetermined rate regardless of weight or destination zone of the package, similar to the Flat Rate Envelope. A few key benefits of this new product:

    * Any weight, any State, $8.10. No matter which Flat Rate Box you choose, the postage is $8.10, regardless of weight or destination.
    * No need for a scale. Visit Click-N-Ship to purchase and print postage from your home or small business computer. You don't need a scale.
    * No need for a trip to the Post Office. Visit Pickup Options to arrange for next-day pickup at no extra charge (available in most locations) using online Carrier pickup.

The corrugated box you have selected is similar to a shoe box (11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2") and holds merchandise such as model cars, and taller items. Both shapes have the same cubic inch dimensions.

    Although not the prettiest....

For 150 cards and under (assuming they can't be sent in a bubble) I place them in a team bag(s) and put in a 200 count box. I then wrap with something to protect them from the top of the box. I set the cards in the box like they normally would sit and pack the cards very tightly with tissue all the way around. I then seal all the edges. It doesn't look like much, but I have had no complaints and actually some compliments on how it was shipped. This usually costs about $2 or $3 to ship instead of $8. I find I get alot more bids with a $4 shipping cost rather than an $8 shipping cost and the buyers are saving money too.
