Received the verdict on my 6 free submissions

Just saw that the results from the free submissions have been posted. Here's the results on the non-Ripken cards I sent. The Mantle and Tinker cards have a special meaning and I thought I would send them. I understood before sending them that the Mantle would not grade well at all. I was certainly hoping for a 9 with the Manning card. Although it wasn't the rarest of issues, it's a tough card for a high grade with the black borders. I purchased the Tinker card for my wife several years ago since she is a big fan of the Cubs as well. Considering the price I paid for the card I'm well pleased.
1961 TOPPS 300 MICKEY MANTLE N/A 1
1998 PRESS PASS JERSEY JC/PM PEYTON MANNING N/A 8
1911 PIEDMONT JOE TINKER BAT OFF SHOULDER 4
Now for the cards I was very excited about sending, the three Ripken minor league cards to complete my graded set. I bought the 1981 WTF set as a complete set without seeing the cards. I was told that they were all in great condition. The Ripken card had a noticible indention. The indention definitely kept the card from being a 9 and I wondered if it would drop to a 7. The checklist card was the worst card in the set with a ding on the corner. Fortunately, the remainder of the set was in outstanding condition, with no additional indentions, dings, etc. Considering the price I gave for the set ($300 delivered) I can't be disappointed with the results, especially when a PSA 6 sold for over $210.
1981 WTF CO. 1 CAL RIPKEN JR. ROCHESTER RED WINGS 8
1981 WTF CO. 20 CHECKLIST ROCHESTER RED WINGS 7
The last card was the 1st copy of this card sent to PSA, a WBTV team photo card of the 1980 Charlotte O's. When I bought the set, the Ripken was already graded (SGC 84) and the listing claimed the cards were all in NM-MT condition. As condition sensitive as these cards are, getting a 9 would be major as it would be the only 1980 WBTV card to achieve a 9 grade.
1980 WBTV CHARLOTTE O'S TEAM PHOTO 8
Overall I can't say that I am disappointed. It will get especially fun when I send the remaining cards of the sets for grading in hopes of getting them in the set registry. Thanks for letting me share! I'll try to post pictures when they arrive. Have a great day!
