Cheating boyfriend has his cards sold by ex-sweetie?

Ah if this story were only true...

Ginger or Maryanne?

  • How many times are we going to see this episode of Jerry Springer on Ebay?!
  • Good twist though--she turned into a lesbian this time.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

For someone who is not familiar with the hobby, she's using a lot of language and terms that suggest otherwise. This is an obvious scam.

Not a very convincing photo of the two. If they really wanted to sell a ton of cards they should have a pictures of the two making out.

And besides maybe the boyfriend found a younger more attractive girlfriend than the one in the picture... in that case can you blame him?

Their feedback says quite a bit. I can't believe how many people actually fall for this. This type of selling is in other categories like coins. generally speaking the feedback totals for buyers is usually low, suggesting inexperience. A FOOL AND THEIR MONEY ARE EASILY PARTED. Another one of my favorite sayings in this regard is STUPID PEOPLE ARE BORN EVERYDAY, UNFORUNATELY MOST LIVE.

  • Ferg: her merchandise or the cards? Either way, post scans!

I've seen this "woman's" scam going on eBay for a while now... "she's" obviously fishing for people that are slow on the uptake or that think they might be teaching some deadbeat a lesson. My favorite part are the feedbacks that mention that "she" is actually a he. Clever guy, in the Don West sense....
Nolan Ryan & Edgar Martinez are my favorite players...

They say they're located in Malden, Mass. That's about 20 minutes from me - maybe I can go pick up the cards in person.....

    I'd hit it.....twice.....
  • I am not a lawyer but this scam sounds like its dealing in stolen goods or goods without a clear title. She openly admits the cards are not hers. I do see her claiming

<< <i>I have recently taken over by ex-boyfriend's enormous amount of cards. >>

so that may side step the ebay terms of service by claiming she is acting as an agent of her "ex-boyfriend."

My question is why would "he" allow someone who hates him sell this stuff? Why isn't he selling this stuff?

70 chip- Do you sell on ebay? I sold some items to someone who used the term " Hail To the Redskins ". I realize others may do this as well but it takes a certain type to do that and you seem like the type. If you decide to go up there and investigate I think there is a "Easy Motel " in the neighborhood that can be rented for 40 minutes .

Yes, I do sell on ebay, my ebay id is VERY similar to my screen name..

Do you have directions to the "Easy Motel?" It sounds like a nice place and I certainly won't need 40 minutes, I can be done, showered and checked out in 15 (Gotta save some money, I am not paying for the full hour) image

I think for an extra $10 there is a little blue friend dispenser next to the snack machine. But if for some reason you get stricken with Priapism(sp ?) ,that 4 hour problem ,it could prove to be costly. In your case I don't think its worth the risk. Just let it go!!!

Funny how she doesn't know anything about cards and always wondered why he had so many around, but if you look as some recent feedback, "she" has been bidding on cards! Go figure.

don't be bringing be up lesbians or we are going to get that sexual harrassment post up here again!image

  • WHAT! There was a sexual harrassment post?! You've gotta be kidding me.
  • It is always the same things on e-bay...and I think all of us can create a scenario that we've seen or something like it...

It's usually how the spouse was cheating on the woman and the woman has to get rid of his stuff - she wants it all gone - she knows NOTHING about anything - yet she will put the cards in 100 card lots - some with high end stuff - others with jerseys and autos - but she knows nothing - yet if you bid high enough you might get graded cards or 1/1's - but don't e-mail them with questions - they don't know anything about cards.

If it weren't for yahoo auctions - I'd think E-bay was the scam capital of the world.

I saw another auction like this one ebay a couple days ago. Only that one it was a divorced lady selling the cards in lots of 100. The lot was going for $20.00 at the time. $20.00 for 97 commons and 3 low cost star cards I imagine. Photographs of nice cards such as this scammer.

I prefer brunettes but f I were single I would find a way to make do with either one. image

P.S. Anybody that buys cards from some auction like this is a COMPLETE idiot. It's not a "scam" it's just an auction for f888ing MORONS!

Methinks you'll have to travel to some Eastern European country to meet them. Those chicks are not Ammerikins.
