STEVE HART AT BCE IS THE GREATEST!!!!

Has anyone had a problem with slow shipping from Steve Hart and BCE? I ordered on the 30th of December and it says that it's been delivered in my account on their website, but still no cards.

Keep in mind the post office was closed last Monday for New Years and Tuesday in observance of President Ford's passing. I'm waiting on some packages (not from BBCE) that normally should've arrived, but I'm hoping it's just delayed due to the holiday season.

I wouldn't worry yet. You ordered on a Saturday and then the PO was closed until January 3rd. Today was really only the 3rd business day since the PO opened back up.

I have ordered from BBCE many times and have never had a problem.

I agree with everone here. Steve usually ships via UPS or FedEx, and depending on your distance from IL, it may take up to 5 BDA to receive your shipment. I'm sure it'll arrive over the next day or two. Have patience. He's the best in the business.

P.S. Order status shows "delivered" as soon as your payment is processed. That just means that your package is on the way.

This is just my opinion but I think you should change the title of this thread.

Considering the circumstances and his proven track record, I don't think it's fair to BCE.

Steve is totally first class. Every so often, I call up there and sometimes he answers the phone. Even though I have never met him, everytime I talk to him , its like talking to an old friend. Every minor concern has been taken as if its the only one they've had. Nothing but 1st class there. I'd call and I cannot see the problem not being resolved quickly.

Well, these guys can blow smoke up your ass if they want--- but I think the only legitimate explanation is that Steve took the money you spent on late '80's junk wax, abandoned his family and is now living the vida loca in Nassau. Bummer that you got ripped off, but hey-- it's the Internet. Nothing is guaranteed.

  • For those of you who felt it was unfair in the title, I have now changed the name. I feel that your response is justified and rightly so, the name has been changed. I completely forgot about the PO being closed last week. If Steve reads this, my sincere apologies. I'm sure it will be here very soon! Thanks for the responses to ease my concern.

While we're waxing poetic about BBCE, reminds me of something I saw. Quick name it!

Did you know Steve Hart is the godfather of my son?

Oh yeah, he's a big guy! Goes about 6'7", 385.

Well, anyway.. he shows up at the church in his golf pants, caked in mud. Well, ol' Steve Hart pushes the priest aside and says, "I'll baptize that piece of calimari!" Then he pours Scotch all over my baby son and says, "There! You're baptized!"

Did I ever tell you about the time Steve Hart sold me into slavery?

Oh, yeah! He puts me on a ship to Thailand, right? And I'm chained to a pipe. Meanwhile, ol' Hart, he's back in the States siring three beautiful children with my wife!

  • Sounds like ol' Bill Brasky..........
  • What very few people realize was Steve's prowess on the baseball diamond.

As a matter of fact, he was so fast in cleats that he once hit a line drive up the middle that smacked him in the head sliding into second base.

Perhaps this explains BBCE's quick shipping of unopened material.

You might consider taking the word of virtually every member on here that Steve is one of the good guys. On a contentious medium where attacks can and are launched from behind the safety of a keyboard (and often an alt id) I've yet to hear one back word about him. I doubt I ever will.

Does Steve Hart really care about his customers? I can understand he ships fast and his products are already screened to make sure they are authentic and sealed. What if you get a wax box that has mold on it (it happened to one of our board members), was tampered with as there are sticker prices on the packs, the box is creased and heavily worn (not a collector grade condition in case one wanted to preserve the unopened box as that) and so on. Will he make good on it without hesitation?

I never dealt with him, so I need to rely on what you guys tell me. There are good dealers out there, but fewer ones that are also good at solving customer problems. I don't like 4 SC or DSL--no customer service. Steve Hart has a really nice inventory of stuff that I would not mind buying some stuff, but only if he is that great as many of you claim.

He will do whatever it takes to makes thing right. He has a full return policy and if you aren't 100% satisfied he will offer an exchange or a full refund. You won't find anyone else easier to deal with, especially with his inventory. I've spent thousands of dollars buying stuff off him both from his web site and on ebay and I've never had a complaint. I've had to return a couple of items over that time, and each time I either got a replacement or a full refund.

He specializes in unopened material, but he also has an extensive inventory of sets and graded cards, too. His web site is www.bbcexchange.com.

I've bought maybe $500-600 worth of packs and boxes from him in the past 18-24 months.

-Always ships fast. From Illinois to California in about 5 days using UPS.

    -Always well packed, quality products.

-I've gotten 1 or 2 wrong boxes. 87 Topps baseball instead of football. Something like that. Very quick to correct any mistakes if you just email him. If the difference is in his favor, its no hassle at all to get a credit for the difference on your next purchase.

-Overall, a top notch seller. His ebay feedback is just amazing.

I named my 1st born Steve Hart
  • Just putting my 2c worth here - I found Steve from this site, and ordered some unopened 90's boxes from him to be delivered to me in Australia. He gave me a quote on shipping which I was happy with.

I then received an email from him a day or so later to advise he had overcharged me on shipping, and he would refund me or give me a credit. I took the credit, and a month or so later placed another order. He took the credit straight off the total price and under a week later the boxes arrived Down Under. Very impressed with the service both times i've ordered.

I tell ya what, those 1975, 1978, and 1979 Topps sets he's selling look mighty tempting (if I had the funds); I wonder if he could make some really cherry 1974-79 Topps sets (or at least 1976-79) on some kind of layaway plan or something?
