Ohio State has not played a football game in nearly 6 weeks

I don't see how they can be really sharp in this game. This BCS thing is a farce, dragging it out so long between games is dumb IMO.

The NFL playoffs are now underway, oh by the way we also have this championship college football game to play. I'm not even going
to bother watching it.

I agree that they won't be as sharp, but when was Florida's last game? 4-5 weeks ago? Once you get that much time off I don't think either team has the advantage.

Just think, in the last month, instead of sitting around waiting, college football could have run through a playoff tournament, determined who the national champion was, and not drug the season into the spring semester.

It's not like in the MLB playoffs where one team may be off for a week while the other only gets a day or two rest.

Both teams have had significant down time and there shouldn't be any difference in their "rust".

this bowl season has had some spectacular games played by "rusty" teams. I'm hoping the final game tonight will be similar.
