A fellow forum member who specializes in $20 Gold Liberties suggested that I post the following MS-61 vs MS-60 image comparison to get some feedback from other forum members comparing the conditions of these 2 coins with similar grades (1 point apart)...

Kidding aside, I think that it is very hard to make the distinction on a photo, and frankly, if you resubmitted the "60" raw, I think you are more likely to get back a 58 or 61 than you are a 60. The "60" looks less lustrous in the photo, but the lighting looks different, too. I have nothing more to add.

The 1876-S looks more like a very solid AU-58 to me.
