Funny Mantle auction

I did a search for 1952 Mantle PSA on Ebay and saw an awesome looking 5. At least the card is listed as a 5 although the pric is of what looks to be a high end 8. The bidding is at $8,100 but the seller implores bidders not to bid since his roomie stole the card after seeing it on Ebay!

Something is rotten in Denmark me thinks! Good for a chuckle though. I can't figure out if the guy is a scammer or an idiot. Just to be safe, I will say both.

And he didn't end the auction because....

P.S. Love the stolen scans, too!

Maybe he can bundle the Mantle with one of the stolen cell phones, too!

  • Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?
