Does this mean my Drew Bledsoe auto press plate 1/1 is worth something again?

I didn't see the game, but that does indeed sound like an epic choke by Romo. Then again, I think his 15 minutes had already ended; Cowboys weren't going anywhere anyway.

The Eagles probably aren't either, so enjoy it tonight while it lasts, Philly fans.

Tough way to lose a game. Reminds me of the end of the movie "North Dallas Forty" which of course is a fictionalized drama about the Dallas Cowboys during the Landry era. Remember when the North Dallas quarterback fumbled the extra point to prevent them from being in playoff contention.

Very true - but the Eagles will get some life out of this for at least another week, they play the Giants tommorrow, remember? The Giants mailed their season in sometime in October.

what worries me as an Eagles fan is that I am not worried. For all the recent years they were in the playoffs, I was worried/nervous. Not at all this season, and that worries me

  • still dont know why everyone is ready to write off Romo- yes he dropped the snap- huge mistake- one of the biggest i can remember- however- without the drops and fumbles (terry glenn in particular) that would have never been an issue- Romo is still a solid NFL QB and will bounce back next season- under what coach and throwing to who is the question....

I do have a feeling tho that Romo will have an injury which prevents him from the Pro Bowl- just a hunch

Man, I don't like the Cowboys, but I fell sorry for them now. WTF happened with that snap? He probably handled over 100 snaps perfectly during the season, and picks a game winning 19 yard FG to take his eyes off the ball. Ultimate CHOKE!!

The Eagles got their work cut out for them to top this!!

Eh. I don't watch a lot of pro football. I planned on tuning in tonight and caught some after getting home from dinner but then it was time to put the kids away. Obviously I wasn't expecting such dramatic reversals of fortune and wish I had seen it all unfold.

  • I thought that was Leon Lett handling the snap.
  • The Eagles still have to play Sunday so I would not talk too much trash. If the Eagles do not win it all then all your trash talk is for nothing. Mcchoke is still mcchoke until he wins the Super Bowl. This was Romo's first try in the playoffs and HOW many times has McChoked failed to win it all? So until Mcnabb wins a it all don't talk about another Qb choking.
    Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!!! image
  • My teams quarterback has never choked...so can I keep talking?

Tough game Cowboys fans. Romo gave it a try this year and put up a good fight. If given a few more good performances from his team members he may have been able to avoid the mistakes of inexperience.

With that said it has to be tough watching the Cowboys over the last 10 years. Numerous coaches, few playoff appearances and fewer playoff wins.

Certainly not what Dallas fans expect.
  • great game! Romo almost pulled out a miracle after he botched the snap for the field goal. He did cry like a lil baby; that was good TV.

Could not agree more. The Cowboys got to the playoffs because of Tony Romo-he will be back.

In terms of all-time Dallas Cowboys bad moments Romo's drop is still a very distant #2 to Jackie Smith's drop in Super Bowl XIII.

Spin it any way you want. That muffed snap was a choke job for sure. image

I mean, come on, that was a chip shot FG to take the lead.

Exactly..name a CHOKE MOMENT for McNabb....A specific play!!! you guys say McChoke cause the eagles didnt win....last time I checked this was a team game....Jim Kelly didnt choke the whole dag on Bills team did. Its the same here!!!! However it is undeniable, COMPLETELY UNDENIABLE, that that one play by Romo was the biggest choke moment in the last....heck....who knows!!

The sad thing is that if Glenn doesn't fumble near his own end zone for a safety a few minutes earlier, the game is probably tied 20-20 at that point (because Seattle doesn't get the safety and they probably kick a tying extra point instead of going for two on their final TD). But people tend to remember the LAST play, as unfair as it seems. Someone can choke for 59 minutes, and someone who plays great for 59 minutes and fails in the last is seen as the goat and the guy who sucked for 59 minutes is a footnote to history.

    That's football.

Thats true..T. Glenn dont make that fumble and this situation may never come to fruition. And you are right, the last play is the one remembered.
