<< <i>I mailed three 25 card subs in on 11/30 (I decided to put them on separate subs because I heard that subs with all the cards from the same year got turned around faster). Delivery confirmation showed them as received on 12/7. PSA logged 2 subs in on 12/18 (they combined two 25 card subs into one 50 card sub). Grades popped for the 25 card sub on 12/22, they were mailed on 12/27 and received on 1/3.

From my experience, I don't think there's any truth to that making faster turnaround. It's a completely random event down there. But, I do think it's a good idea to do that because it helps eliminate a bad grader biting you in the rear end. It's kind of like diversifying your stock portfolio. I'm actually putting together a 1000 card submission right now and it scares me to death to think of a bad grader getting assigned that batch. I'm hoping for the best.
Every once in awhile I get lucky with PSA. Using the Nov. Specials: Sub one in Nov. back in my hands 13 days after recieved by PSA, Sub 2 back in my hands 16 days after recieved at PSA, Sub 3 shipped back to me 13 days after recieved at PSA, then took 17 days for registered package to get to me due to back to back Blizzards in Colo. I live in the mountains above Denver. Sub 4 sent 9 days ago, still has not been logged in, have called twice was told due to back log, not on Problem shelf.

<< <i>One sub. received 11/16 - nothing yet. My experience with subs. that take two weeks to get logged in - they are on the problem shelf. You need to call and speak to different reps. until you get the answer. >>
I don't understand how an order can sit on the "Problem Shelf" for weeks and not have someone from PSA contact you. However, if you call in to see if there is a problem....you get a rude brush-off.
You end up pulling your hair out when two or three people from customer service say "turn around time varies with demand" and then you finally find someone in customer service who indicates your order is on hold due to a "problem". Ok, what is the problem? Well...really, none....strange, we thought there was a problem...turns out your order is ok...and there is no reason for it to be on hold...it will be sent on for grading now. Have nice day.
The number of calls to customer service could be cut by 70% if they A) Call you when there is a problem with your order and Graded orders on a FIFO basis.
I called on my submission (received 01/04/07) which is not checked in. I can understand a delay on the grades with the CC grading specials, but not in the check in process. This is the 1st time I've had a delay in processing one of my subs. Julius verified it was not on the problem list ... so we'll see?
