Coaching rumor grapevine

Bill Parcells. There's talk in league circles that, if the Fins decide to keep GM Randy Mueller, a Mueller-Parcells pairing could work. Parcells, we're told, has always had a good relationship with Mueller. And there is an increasing belief that Parcells has had all he can take of owner Jerry Jones.

Nick Saban's departure in Miami opens another door for Pete Carroll, who just acknowledged that he needs a special kind of owner to tempt him back into the NFL ranks. Translation: Carroll would've taken the Cardinals job, except the Cardinals are too stupid and too stingy to give full control and a fat paycheck to another head coach, especially when they have to pay Dennis Green $2.5 million to sit on the beach next season.

Early candidates to replace Art Shell are Raiders defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, former Giants coach and Raiders assistant Jim Fassel and Louisville coach Bobby Petrino, who turned down the job last January. Bears defensive coordinator Ron Rivera and Fresno State coach Pat Hill also were candidates last year and could resurface again.

Former Dolphins offensive coordinator Chan Gailey and former Falcons coach Jim Mora will interview for the Miami coaching position as early as today.

Bill Cowher wants to take at least a one-year break from coaching and is not thinking about joining any other team in 2007, whether in the NFL or college football, sources said. Those same sources also have said Cowher's decision to retire has nothing to do with money and that he is committed to spending the next year with his wife, Kaye, and youngest daughter, Lindsay, in Raleigh.

I like what I'm reading. If in fact Parcells does leave who is gonna coach the Cowboys? I seriously doubt Jerry Jones can go with anyone but Jimmy Johnson.

If Parcells couldnt do it, the fans wont except some "no-name" with lesser coaching achievements.

Look for Jimmy to be back.

Of course I have no idea what I am talking about but one can dream image

Oh great. It's not enough that the Jets have to deal with Belichick, but we have to have Parcells back in our corner of the world too? That may be just a little too much for ManGENIUS to contend with image
