Pre-1930's Cards...

I have a question for anyone who might be out there and able to answer. I'm searching a lot on Ebay older cards and I see T206's, T3's, etc. What catagories, specifically, are out there? I eventually want to have representation in my collection all the pre-1930 cards. Does't matter whether they are famous players or not. I just want to be able to display a visual history of the hobby. Can anyone help or point me in the correct direction? Thanks!
