Great grades. What was the turnaround time?

I love the grades. I 've sent in a few opc's and got mostly 8's but have had 3 - 9's. I just got a dreaded 9OC top to bottom on the last sub. I have a lot of nice opc's but the rag egde keeps me from wasting the money on them. Are you a candy topp collector ? I did submit a 73 Nate Colbert Topps candy topp and got a SHOCKER 7. I'll take it. Where did you get your opc's from ?

P.S. I won't stoop to your level by outright stating that you TRIM cards. That would be classless.

LOL! It's amazing, but you seem to get dumber with every progessive post. Suffice it to say I guess you know about as much about '74 OPC's as I do about nuclear physics. I'll let others elaborate if they feel so inclined.

In any case, let me quickly reiterate my case re: the much ballyhooed '93 Wiilie Greene for those who aren't up to speed. Jkmb sold a raw '93 refractor on Ebay which he said-- and this is a direct quote-- was 'perfect' in every way. Turns out the card was 1 1/2 millimters short of 3 1/2", which is significant, and I said that IMO it was bush league to advertise this card as perfect if it was that short AND then not offer a refund when the buyer requested one. From what I recall I never actually accused jkmb of being a trimmer--and if I did then an apology was in order.

More recent exploits of our hero include emailing collectors who were bidding on a rival seller's '93 refractors and urging them not to bid so much-- although it's difficult to envision jkmb emailing these same sellers, if they were bidding on his own auctions, and asking them to tone down their bids. I'm sure mojomagnet greatly appreciated your completely unsolicited interference in her auctions.

    And so it goes.

These are the exact ones that I had just bought when we took a sip at the concession stand in Toronto. Not nearly as sweet as your '73 Schmidt and '68 Bench, but they'll have to do!

Uh-oh, the Ed Van Impe master set collectors are going to be jealous!!

I'd like to see the 1989 King-B Trammell if you can get the scan up sometime. I have no idea what a King-B card is, sounds sweet.

Nice job. One of these days, now that I'm an official PSA Collector's Club Member (actually a 2 time member, but that's another story), I'm going to have to take a drive down 23 to the Potts residence and have you pre-grade some of my stuff.

That would be my spiritual hero, the good Pastor Ted Haggard. I admit it-- I slow down for car accidents on the freeway. And by the same token I have an unhealthy passion for evangelists who've strayed from the righteous path.

Geez, it is the disgraced reverend; didn't recognize him without the pious smirk.

Boo, I just reupped my membership so I will send off the Bench and Schmidt--with others--shortly. I am hoping for a pair of 8s (but dreaming of a pair of 9s). I will let you know....

Those are LOCK 9's-- if they don't come back 9's the first time then keep on crackin'. Just don't have them mailed to your family in Tennessee image

Very noble. You have my continued respect and admiration.

I couldn't find a solid Pat Robertson avatar.

The door is always open, Tom! I'm hoping to get to the next Taylor Gibraltar show, so if you're thinking of going rifle me a PM in the next couple weeks or so.

You guys are killing me. What is a recovering fundamentalist to do? I can't escape this wacked out world of fiction - even on a sportscard site. Oh, well. It is quite funny, your pic. And besides, maybe we'll perish in the terrorist attack God told Pat Robertson about... May as well spend the cash I don't have for the 600 card PSA submission after all...
I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy!
Don't waste your time and fees listing on ebay before getting in touch me by PM or at gregmo32@aol.com !

    Wow, this is good stuff.

    Seeking "truth" and meaning...

I think that collecting is a "philosophical project" that attempts to "make sense of the multiplicity and chaos of the world, and perhaps even to find in it a hidden meaning."

So, I've got a Bible in one hand and the 2006 Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards in the other.

I was wondering the same thing. PRFB's profile says he joined June 24th, 2006 9:12 PM. NJMH joined back in '04 - preregistered alter ego perhaps?

I like how julen23 picked up NJMH's avatar.
