The Best Bargain You've Gotten?: 1952 Topps Cardinals Team Set (missing 1 of the 4 high number) for $200. The high numbers were pretty nice (VG to EX). There is a small story behind this purchase. The team set was on Ebay back about 3 or 4 years ago. The man had a buy it now for $200. I contacted him to make sure it was a COMPLETE team set (knowing about the 4 high numbers. He said, "yes". I bought them. When I got them in the mail, there was 1 high number missing. I notified him. To reconcile, he offered me a 1952 Bowman team set (minus the Musial). I took it!

Your Most Favorite Piece In Your Collection?: This one has a lot of personal value and may fit the most valuable at least to me. It is my ticket stub from Super Bowl XXXI (Packers over Pats). Which I was able to have signed in person by Reggie White. He was great to all the people that were there. Talked, took pictures and more. I was able to shake his hand and thank him for all that he had done for the Packers. I have a different stub from the same game signed by Butler, another one waiting for Favre to sign, and I hope to pick up the last variety to have D Howard (MVP) sign as well.

Your Most Valuable Piece In Your Collection?: Probably the either the Reggie Ticket of the the Favre below. Then again I have a Jordan RC too.

The Most You've Ever Spent For An Addition To Your Collection?: I paid over $600 for a Favre signed helment card from last years UD Exquisite set.

The Cheapest You've Spent For An Addition To Your Collection?: 1 cent. You can always find cheap cards on the bay. the trick is to find cheap shipping to go with it.

The Best Bargain You've Gotten?: I think I paid about $50 for a Favre Finest Prominent Figures card. This one is numbered to 48. I have only seen one on Ebay over the last 3-4 years and I won it. Then again in 86 i paid $8 for a Fleer Basketball set. But that was the going rate those days. Too bad I wasnt in my crazy wax buying days yet.

The Amount Of Years You've Been Collecting?: almost 27 now. I started buying packs here and there in 1980. Really got serious around 1986.

What You Collect?: Favre (cards, tickets), Packers, Football Cards

    Collecting:
    Brett Favre Master Set
    Favre Ticket Stubs
    Favre TD Reciever Autos

  • The Best Bargain You've Gotten?:

My wife and I are fans of the Chicago Cubs. Where we live, we were able to attend West Tenn Diamond Jaxx games (AA Chicago) before they lost their contract and see AAA Iowa play the Nashville Sounds. Before we moved, we went to as many Jaxx games as possible. We had some great times at that park, getting to see some great players come through the AA Southern league. We also got to enjoy seeing players like Nomar Garciaparra and Sammy Sosa on rehab assignments. I have always been a huge fan of Sosa and it was great getting to see him close to home.

The Jaxx lost their contract with the Cubs at the close of last season and they decided to sell the team jerseys. The great thing about the jerseys was that they had been worn for multiple years. I inquired about the possibility of buying the #21 Jaxx home white jersey and they said it was available. They sold it to me and even photo matched the LOA for me. The jerseys were priced on the number of patches rather than the player(s) who wore the jersey. I can't remember the exact total, but it was between $125-$150!
