What happened to Chris Porter?

Is Chris still in the industry? I thought he went to Mastro to do comics but haven't heard or seen much of him. Is he doing any cards?

    I heard from Chris today.

He is in comics with Mastronet but is also involved in cards.

He is a terrific dealer and he and I are speaking tomorrow on how he can help me with my collection.

He wasn't with Lelands very long. How long has he been with Mastro?

    I would guess 6-12 months.

He helped me a lot with some of my collecting needs along the way....

but I never got a good feel if he was in it for the love of the hobby, or simply to make a buck. I always figured he must have a ton of knowledge from all he experienced and handled over the years...but it was never easy to get him to share too much of that information.

Anyway, best of luck to him -- and thanks for all he did for me over the past few years.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
