How long does it "REALLY" take for a Set to be updated with new cards?

I know this has probably been asked before but I have been unable to find an answer.
I have submitted some cards (over 2 months ago) to be added to the Set Registry I am attempting to complete and was wondering on how long it takes to get an answer either way.
Thanks for the input
Mike

They will catch most of it up in time for the 2007 Set Registry awards....after the deadline, they will focus on other things for awhile, and queue will grow to a few months again.

Its pathetic if you ask me. There is no reason they need to take this long. No explanation or excuse would satisfy me at this point.

Given that the set registry is the primary reason why PSA is the industry's leading TPG it seems odd that they wouldn't work harder to keep it's participants happy.
edited for a spelling mistake
This would have been more initial work (creating spec #s) instead of the ongoing addition headache. The goal is to have each card graded anyway ... correct? It also would give collectors something to shoot for by presenting the composite as a wantlist/checklist.
<< <i>I always wondered why PSA didn't start out bigger on player sets. Beckett's checklist could have used for the basic and master sets to generate the composite - instead of what was currently graded. Of course, removing all non-eligible cards according to PSA's criteria.

Both this and Jay's ideas seem like really good ones! In any case, I would think getting another 12$/hr data entry employee would be money well spent. Because if the registry participants aren't happy, PSA won't be happy.

One minor problem...
Beckett's checklists are not complete nor accurate. Sometimes a 'broder' (unlicensed) card sneaks into their checklists. It drives collectors like myself NUTS trying to figure out what in the world the card is... much less what it looks like. Ive got something like 400-500 different unlicensed Will Clark cards.
Then you'll have other issues that may or may not be listed. It seems to have no pattern or reason behind it. This is typical with sample cards and promo cards. It's even worse in their big price guide. There are some sample cards that are VERY difficult and yet priced at $8 or something even though they routinely sell for $100+ if/when they come up for sale.
My 2 cents...
I like how they do it now. Most savvy submitters are checking my players and submitting new issues all the time.
I would absolutely love and suggest that PSA do something to speed up this process. My attention does waver some with my sets because Im sitting here with like 40 cards that Ive submitted over the last 6 months that still arent appearing. Quicker updates and additions could only further fuel the 'compulsive' part of every collector If I was close to PSA HQ, Id be more than happy to help out. I could use the work right now anyways

<< <i>I have a grouping of 20 or so cards waiting to be added to the Seau registry. This grouping had to re-requested this past September, after having been originally requested in Feb of 2006. All of these cards were requested at the same time.

Hey Nathan,
Sorry to hear that. The Seau's are looking really good man!
The Clark's are still going strong here. Happy new year.
