    Are you sure that's a 1934 card? The image certainly looks like its from an earlier time. Roger Bresnahan is the name that leaps to mind, although I'd be amazed if that's correct. Whoever it is, he's out.

    it is Tris Speaker....but I thought that set came out in 1916 or 1917??

    Murray Cards Catalogue has this as the 1939 Celebritys of Sports. They more than likely used an old photo of Tris Speaker.
