Does anyone not check their grades online?

I'm sending in my 6 free grades today for renewing my membership, and I'm determined not to check online. Its always anticlimactic to get the cards back already knowing what the grades are. I'll wait to get the package back this time to find out what the grades are. Anyone else do this?

I used to check for my grades 25+ times per day until they popped.

Lately though I dont check mine anymore. RipublicaninMass and I swap sub #'s and only check for each others grades. Than we let the other know when its safe to look.

It saves alot of disappointment and its kinda a nice release image

In the old days I was so patient I would get the email that grades were posted and I would NOT check them even then. I would just wait for the cards to arrive. Now I check them on-line as soon as I get the email... and sometimes sooner.

    I don't.

Receiving the registered mail package from PSA a few months later brings me a feeling much akin to when I was a boy and opened up a pack of baseball cards.

Much more thrilling than clicking buttons online.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Same here. I never used to check for the reasons stated by mikeschmidt. I will admit though that all the chatter about grades "popping" got to me, and last time I submitted I did check several times until my grades came through.

In the future I will hopefully resist the urge to check.

When I first joined, I never checked. That was back in 1998. I agree there was a thrill of receiving the box and opening them up to find out what I got. Sometimes it was good, and others were disappointing.

Within the last 2 months, I've checked 700-800 times. That's averaging 15-20 X per business day. Yes pathetic; I know. I no longer have any control. I now have a problem. If the grades pop and they suck, I could care less when they get to my door.

I never check them online. It is way more fun to wait for the package.

It might be different if I were waiting for cards that I planned to sell.

Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason.
