Alright, serious question: What does one do with an excess of cards?

I was a collector of Baseball cards back in the early 90's. I will be doing yet another move soon a few hundred miles south. Basically I have to many cards to move... I'm thinking Ebay, maybe some random auctions with a mixed lot... How should I list them? Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks,
Ray

If you list the years, quantities, condition and any rookies you may get some better advice.

You may also want to consider donating cards to charity--children's hospitals etc. The write off may be worth more than Ebay...

Looking for Al Hrabosky and any OPC Dave Campbells (the ESPN guy)

Holy smokes.... Maybe I'll take a few pictures tomorrow to give you all some ideas what I'm dealing with... Truthfully I haven't touched the cards in years... I think I added two cards since I joined the Army in 1992...
More tomorrow

The rest probably will not bring much on EBAY.
Maybe you could build some partial sets, and
list those.
It is hard to turn common 90s cards into money.
<< <i>Zef's right--you may also get some offers right through the boards. Breaking them up by particular players on Ebay may help.

We just donated 7 bags FULL of stuffed animals to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Clarksville Tennessee... I deffinantly thought of donating some/most of them but figured I could make a little money and roll it back into the coin collection... The stuffed animal collection was about a quarter of my daughters collection... She obviously has the collectors bug that I have. All my collections (Yes there are more) will be going to my daughter someday so if they are in the form of Coins, Cards, Magic Cards, Beanie Babies or Comic books then she'll get it. At this point I want to liquidate some (NOT ALL) of the cards and maybe pick up a few coins
Whatever is left before I move will be donated

I hear ya, and expected as much. Maybe a few of you could help me figure out what I have and the rest go to the kiddies

Maybe I should use them as fire wood... Isn't that what the Germans did with the mark when they went south?
Are you still on active duty? You referenced Clarksville - Ft. Campbell. I went there for airassault school.

I'm in aggreement with most here - that there's not much of value in the early 90s stuff - it was so overproduced.
Even the 90L which was so popular tubed with Frank Thomas's career. Griffey and Sosa were hot in the set also - now? I would say cold.
I like the idea of donating and taking a deduction? And maybe finding the most valuable cards to sell?
Well, whatever you choose, I wish you all the best.
