Come on, ESPN had Wisconsin losing to West Virginia in there mock playoff game. They give the big ten a hard time all year saying its not great. well iowa gave texas all it could handle and down the strech there were rumblings that texas could end up in the championship game. Lets see how the top big ten teams do. Michigan and Ohio State. I think there is a good chance both could win their games. if so are the final polls. OSU (1), UM (2) and UW (4 or 5)?

And they set offensive football back 100 years in the meantime. Two of the worst games I've seen all bowl season.

I missed the Penn State-TN game. I missed all of the Wisconsin scoring in their game against Arkansas. In all fairness, the Wisconsin defense played very, very well considering the field position Arkansas had in most of the second half.

As for Michigan, the USC defense played a great game and had answers in the second half. Michigan still had a great season but will likely finish behind Wisconsin in the final poll.

The big ten has clinched a losing record in bowl games. Both big ten-SEC games were tight games that could have gone either way. Penn State (are those the ugliest uniforms in the history of sports?) had a 14 point play-a fumble return for a TD when Tennessee was going in for a TD.

At least USC has shut up those fans and writers who thought Michigan belonged in the championship game.

Agreed. If nothing else, the Rose Bowl confirms that Fla-OSU is the best matchup for the championship game.

The Big Ten can wind up 3-4 at best, but Iowa gave Texas a great game and I am still trying to figure out what happened in the Minnesota-TT game... blowing a 38-7 lead. So look at the games.

The B10 can also still end up 3-0 against the SEC, the supposed toughest conference

True, but it seems that there are critics of the Big Ten everywhere... so might as well put the whole thing in perspective.

    Critics of the big 10!

All ESPN talks about is the big10. They would get on their knees and blow em if they could.

Anyone watch the Joe Paterno show during the UT v. PSU game. ESPN musta showed him up in his box at least 20 times. Plus the only fans showed were PSU too.

ESPN hates the SEC and will more often than not pick em over the Big 10

you've obviously never watched an OSU game huh?

they have belittled OSU all year after every game how it "wasn't impressive, blah blah blah"....

They do however have a lovefest for Charlie Weiss and Brady Quinn.

No, I think the Rose Bowl showed that atleast two so so Big 10 teams should not be playing in the championship game. Now there is only one. OSU better have their mind on playing to even have a chance against Fla.

Next year will be another lovefest with the Big 10 when the season gets going. Its been the same old crap for the 40 plus years I have watched college football.

See ya next year when the Ducks stink it up again. Pac 10 the "Conference of Champions".

While this is going in alittle different direction, since 1947 the Big 10 and Pac 10 have both won 28 Rosebowl games. The reason the Big 10 gets a bad rap is because they won 13 of the 16 games and few folks remember the Michigan team of 1947 that beat USC 49-0 IN THE '48 Rosebowl game or the Michigan team of 1950 that upset Ohio State in the "snow bowl" while Illinois was upset by Northwestern. That Michigan team beat an undefeated Cal team 14-6.

The bottom line is the Big 10-Pac 10 rivalry has been terrific and it does not get any closer in terms of which conference has won more. Too bad the BCS screwed this up...
