Slightly OT -- How to get rid of massive images in threads solved

The ones that take several minutes to load and put a horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the browser. If you're using Firefox or Mozilla, there is an extension called Adblock Plus that will do it. I tried it in Linux, but don't guarantee it will work in Windows.

Adblock Plus

  • I use that for when "Cladiator" bombs a thread with a giant True-View image. It works great!

You must be talking about when I post a PCGS photo of a coin into a completely OT and non-coin related thread.

It was funny the first 5 times. The last 20 are just downright irritating, even for those with broadband.

    clw54,

Thanks for starting this post. I now have Adblock Plus installed on my G4 Mac, and it appears to be working.

What is it in some of the CU threads that causes extremely long load times, besides large picture files?

Do the flashing icons/pictures cause slow loading of CU thread pages?

Sometimes pages never do seem to finish loading. What causes this?
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
