    I have always liked Vinny. He was a stand up guy with the Jets and I will never forget his effort during the 98 season. However, he is not going to the Hall of Fame.

    So lets say Favre retires (which I hope he does not) and Vinny retires. Now ask the question about HOF again. Both would be up at the same time. Vinny couldnt even carry Favre's jock into canton.

    Why did the Patriots pick Testeverde up? It only means a Super Bowl jinx for them.

    I am not arguing on his behalf, but Vinny is in the top ten alltime in completions, passing yards and passing td's.

    Vinny is a borderline HOFer. I just don't feel he'll get the necessary votes as he was never a dominant QB. His best run was a few-year span with Baltimore and when he first came to the Jets. It took him many years to finally have more TDs than picks.

    Favre is first ballot, no question, on the other hand.

    This will be Vinny's chance to get a ring. He certainly is no jinx, he just played on crappy teams, usually VERY crappy teams.

    sadly i dont think Vinny will be getting a superbowl ring this year.
    The Jets have a very good chance of knocking them out of the playoffs next week.

    Corey Dillon, HOF? probable. very likely
    Vinny, no way; 20 years shouldnt ensure the HOF. he had some real awful, sub-standard years. Nice guy, but not HOF material.

    letting Testaverde play and pass for a TD was a classy move by the Pats, similar to the Flutie drop kick
