J-E-T-S - Jets! Jets!! Jets!!!

The Jets are in!

I never would have thought it at the beginning of the season. Pennington coming off the surgery and long layoff, losing Curtis Martin, new coach, etc...

What happens? Pennington gets through an entire season without injury, Leon Washington comes out of nowhere to become a surprisingly good RB, immediate results from their top two draft picks Mangold and D'Brick, and of course ManGENIUS.

Better matchup for the Jets vs. NE or Indy?

    Tough call, IMO.

Congrats to the Great Mangini. A healthy Chad is a winning combo!

Let's see, one team has a history of playoff chokes, and the other has a history of being at its best in January.

    Not a tough call, IMO.

The Jets did give Indy fits when Indy was undefeated, and Chad plays well in domes so I don't know. Let's just enjoy the moment image

    Congrats to the Jets.

Along with New Orleans they have to be the surprise feel good stories in the NFL this season.

As for which team would be a better matchup in the playoffs, I would have to go with Indy. Although the Pats arent what they once were they still have alot of guys who have been there before and know how to win.

Jets have already beaten NE in NE this year and the Pats, while solid, are not the same team that won 3 Super Bowls.

Colts at home in the dome will be tougher than you think.

I liked either of the match-ups. The pressure is totally on the Pats. Imagine if Belichek loses a home play-off game to Mangini.

If they had played the Colts they could have moved the ball at will on offense and it would have come down to who had the last possession of the game like in the first meeting.

Although the Pats match-up favours the Pats totally at least the Mangini factor will drive Belichek nuts all week.

Leon has taken the running game and put it on his freaking back. Where did he do his undergraduate studies?

Mangini has proven himself to be a helluva head coach. He'll have his work cut out for him to "snatch the pebbles" from his master's hand...

Since he's an FSU alum, it certainly wasn't in the classroom...

Actually FSU has been a big help since the Jets #1 receiver was a back up at Florida State - Laveranues Coles.

Mangini was successful at doing the one thing most NFL coaches couldn't....he got the most out of his players this season.

Even life-long Giant's fans, can't say that about guys like Coughlin or Parcells.
    HAPPY COLLECTING!!!

Your suffering may soon be over. Unless Giants win at least one playoff game, Coughlin should get fired at the end of the season.

Coughlin is a good coach, his players quit on him. What a bunch of babies...Big fat Shockey sitting in a corner sucking his
thumb...."Why won't Tom let us guys get close..we can't get to know him" blah blah blah Shockey, just go out and catch
the freaking ball! Tiki stunk, Eli stunk, defense stunk, yeah its the coach!

Coughlin has been a lousy coach for years now. He's such a disciplinarian, yet in many cases he's the most out of control person on the sidelines. He was hired by Mara to run a tight ship and instill self-discipline after Fassell's firing, but he's been just as bad if not worse.

Tom Coughlin has failed big time in two key areas that he was supposed to be a master.

    1. After talking and talking and talking about how injuries were a product of the way Giants were coached right after he was hired the Giants have went ahead and led the league in this cat ....

    2. Mr. disipline has a team full of loud mouths who fire off comments about any coach and any player and any media member at any time. Mr disipline has a team full of guys who get flagged for personal fouls about as much as planes take off from Newark airport in a given day.

Tom Coughlin has not been a good coach. Blaming the out of control players is weak. Very weak.

He runs his teams into the ground, he did it with the Jags and he's doing it with the Giants. He's consistently getting outcoached(ie: They ALWAYS go deep to Plax to start the game and then....not until 5 minutes left in the game, 3 out of the last 4 games having Tiki have less than 20 rushes per game, The fact that Eli has consistently 35-45 passing attempts per game), the fact is he wasn't a good fit from the word go. Tiki stunk? 1600+ yards AGAIN. Where was the "Caddy" this season? Defense lost Strahan, Arrington, Osi, Madison all for long periods of time. Coughlin hasn't EVER been a good coach, he's lucked out by having high-caliber players to right the ship to mediocrity.

Coughlin will be gone after this season. The GM is retiring, Tiki is retiring, Coughlin hasn't done what it takes to stay on as coach. Hopefully Mara won't hold the fact that Coughlin was a staff member of the 86 Giants against the franchise today. Because if Coughlin is retained as coach, it's doing nothing but hurting the current and future state of affairs for the NY Giants.

Phh...The Jets don't "share" Giants stadium. It's Giants stadium. lol, hey I'm a Big Blue and Gang Green fan myself; and I think Da Jets are a very dangerous team. Budding O-line, consistent QB, explosive flankback, quality recievers, and a good coach.
