Cool, I'll have to check that out. I saw a show on the production of coins and paper money on Modern Marvels on the History channel some time back.

The access the producers got from the Mint was incredible. It got me hooked back in the spring to get back into collecting.

Wow! I suppose 2,500 coins is a teenie-weenie amount by Mint standards!
Silver Proofs (90%) took 40 tons of pressure and (2) strikes.
Gold Proofs took 140 tons of pressure and (3) strikes.
Platinum Proofs need 200 tons of pressure and (5) Strikes.
At the rate they were going you could easily see how they kept production of this third series of Plats down.
