He ripped a few photos from me in the summer of 2005 for use in his listing. Many days and a few letters from my attorney (thanks, Mark Feld image) and the images were gone and there was a commission in my pocket.

  • He states, and I quote, "My method is 100% natural, meaning that this type of toning is the one that occurs in nature, and normally takes a number of years to complete. "

What a JOKE. Things like this sour me on numismatics...image

  • The seller received an email "hi, i resently won some of ur coin toner.it works great thanks"

He really shouldn't post stuff about someone who resents his product...
  • The folks using his product are of a higher order of genius:

"man those turned out very nice.this stuff works pretty dog-gone fast,it needs to come of in a jiffy.i'm glad i took your advise "..

    and

" am not going to resale it in no way, my friends are going to freak "

"You started something I will be one of your big customer on this. I might let my friends no about you maybe"

The list of buyers should be noted to avoid in the future.

Based on a quick search of his buyers, the stuff works but does not look natural.
  • I'm not at all surprised at things like this. The premium for toners creates this market. We're only going to see more of it in the future. The toothpaste is out of the tube.

You buy toned, you get boned.
If you haven't noticed, I'm single and miserable and I've got four albums of bitching about it that I would offer as proof.

Reply by 77quickdraw: Stop making things up, my coin toner is NOT sulphur! It's a mix of many elements

Hmm. seems to have lots of repeat customers.

Most of them very happy with the results
any links to auctions from the purchasers who are now selling toned coins? curious to see how their science experiment turned out.
  • I'm suprised any of the buyers would leave him feedback and possibly implicate themselves as selling AT'd coins. That's just a boneheaded move.

If people would stop buying that crap they wouldn't sell them.

Seems to be a good market though. $10 coin, add some cheap toner, and BAM! $30+ profit.

  • Back in June or so someone posted about this seller. I bought some just so see what he was selling, I think I paid something like $2-$3 delivered. What you got was a tiny jar that held maybe 5-6 drops of a diluted Liver of Sulfur concoction with no intructions on how to use it. I dabbed a bit on a unc 64 Washington quarter to see what happened... Pretty ugly results, then tried a silver dime, same thing.

I would not call dizzy a hypocrite. Have you not heard of changing your opinion based on facts that present themselves? Hardly hypocracy.

  • << <i>Which you already did. Which you encouraged everyone to do. Which makes you a hypocrite. >>

I think there's a big difference between adapting to new information and being a hypocrite. If Dizzy didn't have a different opinion about monster toning now, wouldn't that be idiocy, rather than hypocrisy?

the tone that this solution creates is very obviously AT

  • << <i>the tone that this solution creates is very obviously AT >>

probably is to you and your trained eye. new knowledge to me.
and the amount of people doing it is the most surprising part.
trying to trick it out every way possible.

the disclosure is important. every coin does have a story
and it's worth hearing, until the trail grows cold. seller should
be able to pass on a history, or admit to knowing none of it.

then call coin forum c s i. happy new year everyone. image

So as long as you and I know it’s obviously AT it makes it alright:

    I don't think so!

    What about these 5 people

    What about these 9 people
