OK guys a year has passed and a new member has to be selected - Mudflap had awarded it to me and now it's time to pass the torch.

I would like your vote - VIA PM for the person you feel made a great contribution to this forum over the past year.

Altho we keep losing members - we still have a great core of people who contribute here every day.

    I've had a bunch of votes - I'm gonna let this run for a bit.

    In case many don't know - for the winner: ya get ta meet the guy who actually met the infamous Grader of Death!

    the armed forces...he was here and a great contributor to the heritage threads for the last several years...he had one HECK of a heritage collection and recently sold it all for a pretty penny on ebay.

    I know he's in the states at the moment (in the process of buying some cards from him), but I don't know much else.

    Jeff was supposed to enter the Marines for OCS back in the late spring - early summer - I believe his entry date was changed. I haven't spoken with him in a long time.

    I hope it went well - but there's no shame in not passing.

    His last post was in Aug of this year.

    Maybe. I know its been a while but he was a good guy. I also think its unfortunate that you never know if someone comes back under a different handle.

    I was wondering the same thing. He was a great poster-- very thoughtful, knowledgable and polite. He wasn't at all inflammatory-- at least not that I recall-- so it would be strange if he were booted.

    If I recall correctly, Goudeygold and I had a difference of opinion when I first joined the boards.

    Seems we went on to agree to disagree and he became one of my favorites. I miss his posts.

    No - people understood to vote for someone new.

    As of right now - 12 different people were nominated and a total of 30 people has voted.

    It's pretty close with a few guys but if I had to make a prediction - I could - I'll announce our new reigning Muddy awardee tomorrow - New Years Day.

    I think I'll make New Years the official inaugural day from now on.

    Just tryin to have a bit of fun.
