Unc Gold Fractionals quality...comments welcome :)

I finally got a chance to go over my new gold fractionals with a fine tooth comb...bright light and magnifier.
1. The 4 piece set...
After chiselling them out of the holder (those suckers weren't going anywhere) I checked em out throughly. The 1 oz and 1/4 oz have tick marks on them. The black velvet case had tiny gold shavings in it.
2. 3-1/4 oz and 2 1/2 oz
All of the 1/4 oz have tick marks on them. A couple are actually tiny nicks but other marks are places where it looks like the coin rubbed something and the dull finish is very shiny in that place. They are really tiny but...they are there. One of the 1/2 oz has a pretty bad mark on it. I don't know if it is a gouge or if there was something on the die...just a little indention. One of the 1/2 oz is good and I'm sending it in with my 2 20th anniv. Gold sets which I have not opened. I'm worried they are as crappy as these.
So what do you guys think. Is it worth hanging onto these fractionals that have marks (because of the talk of their pending value) or should I send them back?
Thanks for the input. I learn so much on this board!

I agree with you on one thing.....the mint must have used an impact driver to embed the coin holders into the AGE Unc velvet display base.
I needed a small knife just to pop those babies out of their base.
Like I said on another post, the Mint may have listened to those that rec'd coins that lost their safe sanctuary and were bouncing all over the place.
I sure wouldn't send them back. I would list them on Ebay with an accurate description of any flaws. They won't disappoint you.
I knew it would happen.
Mine are all pretty nice.
But, I have a 1/4 that has that yellow/orange 'grease' on it. I am sending this back for a refund, ( I have plenty others). I'm sending this back because I would not be comfortable selling it on ebay without disclosing the problem. Granted the others might not be 70's, but the grease stuff is pretty bad and I wouldn't want to get it via an ebay auction.
As for nicks, that's up to you. Think of it as luck of the draw. A person ordering one coin would have gotten that one and probably been happy.
I searched on
gold (2006 w, 2006w, 2006-w) (unc, uncirculated)
There is only 1 active auction at this time. Surely I"m not among the first to get some of these...I just ordered them 3 weeks ago.
It seems that this particular “eagle” has been restrained. There is a small circle of black running through its nose/beak….just like in a bull’s nose. Most weird. I’ll post a picture next week.
