Are the 1998-present Topps Finest baseball sets any good?

Okay, as you may already know, I've started collecting Topps Finest baseball sets. I currently have the first three years (1993-95) and I hope by February to be able to buy my friend's 1996 Finest bronze & silver set. Hopefully I'll get lucky someday and find the 1997 Finest bronze/silver set too. I'm especially fascinated by the bronze/silver/gold set layout for the 1996/1997 set. However, they stop doing that in 1998 onward and I was just wondering what the Finest sets are like from 1998 onward. Although my new Beckett Almanac does describe the sets briefly, it doesn't really give me much of an idea as to what the cards are really like; does anyone here have any of those sets so they can tell me what they look like and if they're just as super preminum "high tech" quality as the previous Finest sets?

I'm also interested in the Flair sets, but luckily they only go up to 1999. I don't know what to do regarding the 1997-99 sets' Row 2/1/0 format though.
