I put a BIN on for a buyer

at the request of a potential buyer, I added a BIN, at a reasonable price and the JackA** didnt even buy it. Now someone has bid on the card, So I guess I just wasted .40 cents.image

  • It seems to me like ebay should give you a credit on that if it didn't sell, but we are talking about ebay so maybe not. Either way it sucks that he would do that to you. Has he contacted you since?

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

  • Nope, no word from him since. I'm not upset about the money, It just boils my gizzard that he would tell me to put a BIN on the card and then not buy it.

If a card has a Buy It Now and someone places a bid, the Buy It Now goes away, right??

Any chance another buyer just threw in a bid before the guy got around to it??

I guess since he hasn't contacted you since, probably not.

I can see where the 40 cents isn't a big deal, but if you're like me, anything that wastes my time is particularly annoying.

  • Thats possible shawn, But it sat there for almost 14 hours with the BIN, So I figure if the guy had really wanted it he had plenty of time.

Did he know what BIN price you were going to put on it?

No, he didnt know. I looked at where the last auction closed at about a week ago for $42 and change. I put a BIN of $45 which is around where these cards close all the time, Very reasonable in my opinion.

Oh well, Maybe now the bidding will take it higher than where the BIN was.

I agree, what a jerk! image Didn't the buyer realize how lucky he/she/it was to get such an opprotunity? For example, someone had posted a 1994 Flair set with all the insert sets; had I had the funds at the time, I would have asked for a BIN for everything, and you better believe I would not have backed out of something like that.

Again, what a jerk that buyer turned out to be. image
