Yes, it is one of those threads, sorry!!

I was just thumbing through Ebay, thinking of picking up a nice T206 in low grade and saw this. Do they not give a qualifier to low graded cards or can a PSA 2 still get a ST??

Not a bash on 707!!

I must not see it. Where's the stain? image

  • According to their guidlines (PSA) a "card may have light staining" It certainaly has that.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

It's actually the rare Eddie Collins "Coffee Stain" variation, right up there with Plank and Wagner in terms of scarcity....

Seriously though, that is THE WORST PSA 2 I have ever seen. I've seen cards come back PSA 1 in much better shape than that. Levi probably has that listed at the PSA 5 price.

Must have been from a member who requested no qualifiers? Though, it still looks like a 2 even without the qualifier. Or maybe a mechanical error and the submitter got lucky because they forgot to put the ST on???

But on a more serious note, I think this is how the card looks...didnt some of these guys have to pose for pics after a game? Looks to me it was a hard slide into home plate! imageimage

I think it's an error on the flip. It should be labeled as the rare "Phantom of the Opera" version. Great find!
  • To answer the original question, the only PSA grade that will never get a qualifier is PSA 10. I have seen a PSA 1MK before so lower grades can get a qualifier.

Just for comparison's sake, here's another PSA 2 T-206 I randomly just found on ebay. This is about as far on the other end of the spectrum - hard to believe these two cards have the same grade....

Indeed, I don't see how the Eddie card could've gotten a 2. A surefire 1 if I ever seen one. I mean, does the card need to be shot with a BB gun and have a piece torn off to be called a 1? image

I have a few 1s that look like 3 or 4 except for a small piece of tape on the back.
That is an ugly card. I think the tobacco had already been chewed and Papaw slobbered on it.
