Ooh, pretty! My ignorant guess says dipped maybe 30+ years ago & then spent some quality time in a cardboard album page. I like what happened. The luster on the obverse looks quite nice beneath the tone. Stars look well struck. All in all, lots to like.

I believe you have yourself a very nice example of the 1833 LM10/V1 die marriage. I don't really feel comfortable commenting on grade with the small pics though. I'll say again though that it sure looks very nice. image

Looks like it may have been one of those "really long time ago" cleaned coin. Then it retoned over a long period of time. Pure speculation on my part. I really like the coin, though. I wouldnt hesitate to buy it if I needed one for one of my sets.

I agree with the others that this one looks like it was dipped a long time ago...BUT it's very nice now and is a good reminder that we shouldn't give up on
"blast white" dipped coins forever; with time and the right environment, they can become lookers again.

I liked it enough to bid on it, but not enough to win it. image

I agree with the others that it had an old dip, but it has nice secondary tone.
