1940 Playball

Does anyone on the board actively collect this set? I used to correspond with Jo-Jo Moore for several years before he passed away. This correspondence(along with meeting Bryne james from the 19933 Goudey set) made me decide to collect everything concerning the Giants from 1933. I recently sent in my 1940 Play Ball card and noticed that there has never been a "9" graded of this card. I hope my will be the first. It would be a great Christmas gift as I would love to sell it and buy other nice collectibles. I bought it many years ago from Dolloff? for $18. Wish me luck.

    My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

    I would definitely be interested. Let me know when it comes back. I am actively collecting the set and currently occupy the #2 Current Finest spot on the registry.

    Well........ It was wishful thinking. Grades just posted today and the card was not graded due to evidence of trimming. I bought this card in the early '90's and I had no clue. Never real gave it much thought when I sent it in. I can't wait to get it back so I can compare it with other Playballs that I have. Sorry for getting everybodies hopes up(mine included). The other cards are about what I expected. Here is the sub# and zip if someone can help me with the link.
