The Holy Grail of my collection....

Recently I was on Ebay and found a card that made my mouth drop. Some of you will probably think that I'm crazy, but who cares. It's my collection!
Here's the card and considering I collect both of these guys, well, wow! To have them both on the same card is amazing to me!!!

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
I don't have a holy grail - but one of the main pieces in my collection was my son's first 92F Rookie Sensation card he pulled from a cello pack.
There's no better feeling than you're having right now!
Happy New Year

Must have been taken at the '90 AS game.

Your ego would be big, too, if you were as good as Barry or Ken (or Tiger or Michael or Wayne or Wilt or Brett or any other "greatest ever" type athlete).

Griffey.
I enjoy the history of the game and try to express that in my collecting tastes. Even though many cards from the 80's and 90's aren't worth much doesn't mean I should not have them represented in my collection. Names like Puckett, Gwynn, Ripken, McGWIRE and Mattingly are forever connected to my childhood and a big part of my collection. To be honest, I have been buying a lot of 80's PSA 8's and 9's lately and have had as much fun as putting my 60's and 70's collection together.
Amazing what 13 years of juice filled needles will do for a physique.
Undoubtedly the biggest LOSER in sports.

<< <i>Good for you. I think a lot of the cards made in the 80's and early 90's are great. This is the time I collected and they have special meaning to me. It is great to see someone passionate about what they collect whether it is worth a dollar or a thousand dollars.

Agreed completely. I haven't made the plunge, yet. I do find myself searching on eBay for these cards quite a bit, though:
1981 Topps Traded Tim Raines
1983 Topps Traded Darryl Strawberry
1984 Toppps Traded Dwight Gooden
Someday I'll pull the trigger, but I want sharp, centered 9's (or maybe a 10 that doesn't get bid up).
I know the feeling. When I find an Emmitt card I have been looking for it makes my day
A guy shares a card with the rest of us that makes him happy and some here insult the player he likes?
I know Bonds is not respected anymore but some people do still like him.
Sometimes things are better left unsaid.

As a collector of Mike Greenwell I understand the excitement that comes along with finding a card you need (or want) that others wouldn't hesitate to toss in the waste basket.
Thanks for sharing.

And by the way, I'm the John Cerutti collector. Probably the only one out there.
