VAM 9 80-CC Morgan

I bought a GSA 80-CC last friday. Got it home and found out it was a VAM-9 8/7 Dash. Pretty clear. Anyone have an idea what this does to the value?

Unfortunately, it doesn't add any value to the coin, as there are so many overdates available on the 1880-CC. The much stronger VAMs-4, 5 & 6 barely bring a premium.

Right now, that might be the case. In the not too distant future, I believe CC VAM collecting will become increasingly popular. I do not believe it is a bad place to be building a position right now. CC collectors are nearly as fanatical as VAM folks to begin with; there is a lot of crossover between the camps; the variety count is low enough to make doing sets attainable though with a handful of serious stoppers; there are interesting varieties among them; and we are only a good attribution guide away from it taking off.
