VAM ID Help....1888-O Multiple clashed letters.

OneyOney Posts: 1,390 ✭✭✭✭
I bought this coin today at a not so local shop. Its an 1888-O clashed morgan. All three letters: n,s,t show as clashed. Anyone have any idea of the variety. I can not seem to find it at ashmore or my large reference book. Thanks.

  • Your image of the hair vee looks like the VAM 1C pictured in the December 2003 supplemental update.

    I agree. Looks like a VAM-1C.

Thanks, any premium on this coin and will PCGS designate the 1C?

It's on SuperCD list. VAM Pricing Guide shows it at $150 for MS63, $200 for MS64, and $725 for MS65.
Last I checked, it's not on the PCGS list.

Nice find by the way!! image

Updated: I see it marked "SUPER CD" on the price guide, but I don't see it in Mark's book.
