Fantasy Basketball Trade - Need advice

So in my league, I am trading Alanzo Mourning and Sam Dalembert for Jamal Crawford and Amare Stoudemire.

The commissioner of my league just posted this. I should add that I have been in this league 4 years and not once has a trade come to a vote:

League,

please review the trade involving Stoudamire and Crawford for two Centers that are below average. Alonzo wont play when Shaq comes back and Dalembert is so inconsistent. This should be vetoed, like I told ZEF, if I tried to pull this trade off, it would be vetoed immediately. Please consider each trade for the fariness of the league as its my belief that this trade is beyond lopsided. Thank you.

I think that is awful of the commish. First of all, if he wants the league to vote, then maybe he should take an unbiased stance, no? Also, there is no telling when Shaq will be back so Mourning is a solid Center with him out. Also, Crawford has been inconsistent and Dalembert is rated one of the top 10 centers in the league.

  • sounds like someone doesn't want to finish behind you. He has crossed the line however by playing to the rest of the owners for sympathy. To me, the trade is a wash. Yes Stoudemire is a stud, but that's when he is healthy.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

I think your commish has a point, but for him to post his own opinion like that is wrong.

FWIW - Shaq will be back in a few weeks, tops - and Mourning goes back to the bench and 10 minutes a game. Stoudemire seems to be slowly getting back to form, and while he may never be the Amare of a few years ago, he's still a tremendous player. Dalembert and Crawford almost cancel each other out, but Crawford might put up better fantasy stats (depends on how your league scores).

I think you'd be making a great trade for yourself.

The trade is in your favor, zef, but the commish is out of line to call you out like that.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
