I'll chip in $50. When I get my 2 minutes with the token I'll engrave my initials into it. image

I'm in for the same amount. Imagine all the engravings when we're done, it will be like a chopmarked Trade dollar. The history and story of the piece will be enhanced to the point that it's value may even double.

I have no interest in that coin. For the money, there are other coins I'd rather own.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

    I'm in.
Just make sure MOC doesn't get the coin before me. I want to see the 1913 liberty nickel in all it's undoctored beauty.image
  • I am poor, I will go in for $11.18 payable in twelve equal payments over the next two years.

I will match all of the contributions offered up to now and do not need to handle the coin on the condition that Cladiator carves my initials into the coin. image

Sounds lovely...I'm in for the same. I want a mini love token inscribed instead of my initials though...right at the base of the V. image

At $50 each you only need 99,990 more board members to go (figuring a $5,000,000 pricetag!).
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Don't worry guys, I have a solution. I just called and had the coin shipped to me on approval. I am not going to keep it, but don't say anything. Instead I am going to make 5,000 aluminum foil rubbings of the coin and then sell them on the BST for $1 each.
