I am filling out my first submission form

Now the hard part, I need to figure out what I want to send in for my 6 free subs. I guess there are worse things in life though. image

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I had the exact same problem image

Just as a FYI - I mailed mine via registered mail last Tuesday and PSA still hasn't received it image
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Registered can actually take quite a while. It is the most secure, but far from the fastest.

Don't worry - I had a registered package from Chicago to Florida take a full 3 weeks, one time. It arrived, but it's pokey!

    In regards to shipping registered........

My post office won't let me because I always end up completely taping my package with clear tape. The registered stamp would then smear off. If you want to send it registered, make sure you use the brown/paper shipping tape. I have always ended up sending my packages priority with insurance and signature confirmation and never had a problem. But I've never sent a package with insurance more than $750. I don't know if I would recommend you do it this way, but I've never had a problem and the package always gets from Indiana to PSA in three days tops. Just my experience.

As far as what cards to send..........That reminds me of a story of my first time.

I had picked up a Beckett in 2001 and noticed for the first time that cards were graded and were amazed at the prices of some of the 10's. Of course, I thought all my cards were perfect and although I didn't have many from my days of collecting in the 80's and 90's, I was ready to hit the jackpot, turning my .50 card into a $100 beauty overnight.

So my first sub included a 1991 UD Chipper Jones, a 1987 Topps Mark McGwire, a 1984 Topps Mattingly, and three others that aren't immediately coming to me.

Needless to say, none received a 10.

I've gotten much better, of course, since then and received several 10's back from PSA. I feel like I get the grade right 90% of the time, and I of course wouldn't bother sending in any of the above cards now.

But take solace in the fact that whichever six cards you chose, you'll never do worse than I did.image

    Best of luck Bunker.

Thanks! I just mailed them off 5 minutes ago. Is it to soon to start checking my sub on line? image

I just completed my form for the 6 free grades. It's the first time I've sent anything to PSA since 1998. Hopefully it works out for both of us!
