My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
Thats the second time in as many days that I've heard negative comments on GAI - heard yesterday that they might be going out of business (NOTE: This is an unverified rumor).
Why, aconte? The card is obviously a gem - suppose you won it, and wanted it in PSA plastic - well, it ain't that hard to do. Would probably come back a 9 and there ya go.
Tony, Hello! I hear you. I know your views on GAI...I can't say I disagree with them for the most part. This particular card is just fantastic, however. I have never seen a copy of this card look stronger. It is a fairly common card from the '53 star run, but there are no green dots and the registration is perfect. It is a wonderful piece of eye-candy in any holder. I have to agree that this same card in an SGC 98 holder would likely trip my trigger even more as I really like their holder. The actual "grade" of the card is subjective, the uncommon fantastic appearance is not. Look how dark and clean the background tones are! The burgundy's and blacks and carmel flesh tones...the creamy white, square margins...ahhh! A wonder card.
