Here's a "Nice N' Crusty" new addition to my collection. This piece upgrades my VG-8 example in which I had bought at the summer Baltimore show.

Guess the PCGS grade? Comments welcomed too!

55, maybe 53. Nice.

45. Nice and crusty, minor wear, but more than rub, on Liberty's cheek, ta-tas, leg, right shoulder, top edge of eagle's wings and talons. Wouldn't be surprised with a 50, though.

My WAG would be a 55 ...the wear, while evident, is minimal and I suspect there is a boatload of luster bursting out from the toning, giving it eye-appeal bonus points.

VERY NICE... 45 and if there is good lustre under original surfaces then AU50. Its a keeper and worthy of an original surfaces designation

Don't mean to offend anyone, just my opinion. A very nice looking coin.

I tend not to think it is retoned based on the wear pattern on the high points of the design (shoulder, breasts, legs) that have a different and lighter color... if this coin were retoned, it is likely that this distinction would be lost. Plus, look at the stars and the date...

In about 20 minutes I'll reveal the PCGS grade and the grade I feel it should of been assigned.

The coin is completely original and just a tad darker in person. Thanks to those who replied.

PCGS AU50

I grade her XF45, though. Since the coin has a little too much wear and lacks the luster for an AU grade IMO but I paid XF45 money for it so it's a keeper and I like her a lot.

I wish they had such a designation because this coin would definitely qualify for it.
