Thanks Spinaker... this auction ends in about three hours. From the picture it is difficult to determine if it is the open 3... I am not bidding on it but if it is an open 3, it will be a Christmas for someone to remember for a lifetime.

It's definitely a closed 3. On the open 3 the bottom sherif on the 3 is more open and doesn't point up the way.

I concur with hussulo. From what I have read, if that were an open 3, it would be the finest known by far.
