PayPal from New Zealand?

I am considering selling some jewelry worth about $800 to someone in New Zealand. The person has 100% feedback primarily from buyers. The feedback seems to be from sales of jewelry.

Should I be concerned? I've heard bad things about accepting PayPal from foreign buyers.

  • Paypal confirmed address, tracking with signature over $250. You need to send it via UPS w/sig, USPS Express Mail (DON"T use Global Priority or Registered) or FedEx w/sig. Check if NZ is covered by paypal's sellers protection.

Below is the chart of covered countries.

But, if you want to be super safe, call PP
    just b4 you ship.

As snow said: EXPRESS only! (Has to provide an online
    visual and a signature.)

    EDITED TO ADD:

Make sure PayPal tells you that "confirmed addresses" are
the protocal in NZ. If not, the seller protection policy may
not apply in NZ. (If you go to the PP site, you will see how
contradictory and confusing some of their info is. It is best
to get a PP manager on the phone.)

Are you planning to ship through the US Postal Service? If so, check to make sure you can insure a package going to New Zealand. The USPS does not offer insurance to a lot of countries.
