Specimen---Any coin specially prepared for presentation to a collector or special individual (eg. a dignitary or politican). May or may not be struck multiple times.

Proof---Any coin struck on specially prepared planchets, with specially prepared dies, struck multiple times, receives special handling, generally made for collectors but may be used for presentation purposes.
