Merry Christmas to All!

Christmas at the Chormicle’s, 2006
Clinton, age 12. Clinton continues to excel at math and science. This year Clinton was asked to take the SAT’s. He astounded everyone by scoring a perfect 1600 in math and science. In September of this year, he became the youngest student ever admitted to Cal-Tech. His ambition is still to be an astronaut, although Hibachi Chef at a Japanese restaurant is a close second. After his acceptance to Cal-Tech, he appeared on the Today show where he tried to explain Black Holes to Katie Curic. His biggest disappointment with Cal-Tech is the lack of a Boy Scout program at the school.
Katelyn, age 10. Katelyn’s artistic abilities continue to surprise us all. Her musical abilities are amazing. She composed her first symphony earlier this year and we were all surprised when the New York Philharmonic Symphony chose to perform it at the opening of their fall season. The reviews were all very gracious and she was asked to play at the White House for Thanksgiving. She also recently received recognition from the Julliard School and will be attending there this coming summer.
Lynnsey, age 6. Lynnsey wants to be a scientist like her big brother! She has mastered multiplication and division, has raced through algebra and geometry is now tackling quantum physics. This year she expressed an interest in beauty pageants and surprised us all by winning the Little Miss Utah pageant. She will be representing Utah at the Little Miss America pageant next month.
Megan, age 5. Megan, while starting off slow has really blossomed this year. She has a gift for language and has taken it upon herself to learn French, German and Japanese. She is so cute when she orders for us at the sushi bar! Having mastered these three, she wants to learn Klingon so she knows what is happening on all the old Star Trek episodes!
Kathy, age, old. Kathy returned to the workforce this year, once again with the Boy Scouts of America. Her hard work and dedication paid off and she was promoted to the position of Scout Executive of the Utah National Parks Council. This is quite an honor from a council that had no women professionals on the staff. Kathy becomes only the second female Scout Executive in the country. In her first six months, she raised over $10,000,000.00 and lifted the council out of near bankruptcy. She was recognized at a luncheon where President George Bush presented a plaque to her for her service to Scouting and inner-city youth.
Wes, age, older. The highlight this year in Wes’s life was a meeting in Seattle with the big wigs from Microsoft to demonstrate a beta version of a security program he developed to work in conjunction with the Windows operating platform. Wes was a little shocked when Bill Gates entered the room, spoke briefly with the other execs, then offered a 7 figure price for the rights to his software program.
As a family, the biggest event of the year was in July when the entire family was abducted by
aliens and transported to the Andromeda system for biological research. After a week on the
mother ship, we were returned to the exact time and place we were abducted from.
(The time-space continuum thing is REALLY interesting).
In reality this past year was more Scouting, more soccer, more school, broken arms,
broken feet, doctors appointments, camping, hiking, fishing and all around fun.
We hope our little story made you smile!
We wish you and yours the very best for this holiday season and all of next year.
Thanks for being apart of our lives. We love you all!
