Any ace 250 users?

Was wondering which coil you use? The stock coil, or the 9x12 optional coil? If you use the 9x12 what are it's advantages?

  • Hey Wood,I don't use the Ace but let's see if I can give you an answer.

I assume the 9x12 is a bigger coil?? If so I would stick with the stock coil on your machine and this is just from my experience.

I have used the WOT coil on my explorer in turf area's and did not notice a huge differance just was able to cover more ground.
Now if you were going to be hunting beach's alot then I could see you getting it as you would be able to cover more area and probally get more depth too.

If your like me and hunt turf and demo's then the stock coil or a smaller coil is good enough.
I use a 5 inch coil in demo's to help with peeking through alot of the iron and trash in these area's and to limit how many target's my machine is picking up at every sweep. It's slow but but when your in those kind of site's you want to go slow.

    Hope this help's and HH,Tom

  • I have an Ace 250 and a Whites 5000D and use the stock coils on both. I too have wondered what the difference would be with a larger coil.
