Grading Special wait time?

Hi again,

Another question for everyone, sorry! I sent a 48 card order to PSA under the #2 $5.00 collectors special. PSA emailed me informing me that they received my cards on 12/4/2006. Does anyone know what the average wait time has been on this special? PSA does not commit to a time, they just say depending upon demand. So I was just wondering if anyone had any experience on this wait time. The reason I ask is I am trying to keep my collection at 7 or better with no qualifiers and there are a couple of cards listed for bid or sale n the internet that are graded high enough for my collection. I don't want to buy them in case the cards I sent in work out. I am not trying to be impatient; I only want to know for this reason. I know the last time I sent in cards on 71' and older special it was quicker then this one.

it usually takes mine at least a month or more (not caldendar month either ie 30+days). sometimes people have their subs pop in a few days while others still have theirs waiting to be looked at. there is no rhyme or reason as to how they pick which ones to grade from the specials. Higher service levels will always superceede the specials.

I mailed a $ 6.00 special consisting of 35 cards from 1952 to 1957 on Nov. 25th or thereabouts.

Rec'd at PSA on Dec. 7
Grades posted and cards shipped Dec. 14
Package at house on Dec. 20
