Why do I like the physical format of these forums?

Visited other forums- all different kinds, not just coins.

For some reason almost none of the other forums have physical (visual) formats that appeal to me. The PCGS forum is easy to use, almost intuitive, very readable, and highly attractive to my eye.

I think LordM mentioned the word "fuse" in reference to these forums. Can he (or anyone else) commment on that?

Fuse Talk is the name of the web based forum that PCGS uses.
I also like the ease of use that this platform offers.

  • My biggest complaint with the structure of the forum is the difficulty in finding the first unread post in a long thread. The only two choices are to scroll down until you find it (perhaps on page 5 image ), or click on the "Bottom" button, and then scroll up until you find the last one you've already seen. That can be a real pain at times.

The board across the street at least indicates how many new posts have been made since your last visit, so you can go to the end and know how far up to scroll.

Another board I use quite a bit has a "First Unread Thread" button, which is very, very handy. image
