I just opened up a pack of 1989 Topps and I found a....

Pat Tabler card #56 that has a blank front. Is that a common error? I didn't see anything in Beckett and was wondering if there is any value to it?

Thanks for the help!

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Too bad they have no value. I have these 4 1984 Topps Baseball that have blank backs.
Johnnie LeMaster, Tim lollar, Dan Driessen and Larry Gura.

  • There seemed to have been a lot of blank front (and blank back!) errors to come out of the 88-90 Topps sets. Most card shops that have been in business a while tend to have one or two, in my experience. Probably not worth a whole lot. I've seen 'em priced at a buck or two.

  • Only has value if it is a star or a player collector wants it. (Like me and 89 Fleer Bill Ripken.) I was close to a 89 Fleer Blank Front and then .............?

  • super cool TNP!!! reminds me of the 1988 score 'rhodamines' (sp?). There's a 1988 or 1989 topps McGwire blankfront on ebay now I plan to bid on. they never sell for that high though, just fun to add stuff like that to a player collection.

  • I like proof cards. Anyone know if progressive proofs and/or color seperation are still made and did they say in .......uh 89?

On the Butlers I like the B/W one and the normal color missing Topps.

My first FF version. I thought it was a proof based on the GEM holder that said so. It has a normal back and its not a proof but a printing flaw (actually I saw a PSA T206 thst was labeled incomplete printing I think it said) but aside from the worthless slab its in it was one of the first few cards I bought when I re-entered the hobby and it remains my favorite. Plus how many GEM Mint 10's do you see with centering like that?
